PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) suture is known to cause a minimal reaction in tissues, based on clinical trials. This ensures reduced complications post-operatively related to suture material.
DemeTECH's PTFE Suture is a reliable choice for surgeries requiring minimal tissue reaction and durable wound support. Its versatility in terms of sizes and needle options makes it suitable for a wide range of surgical applications.
PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) suture is designed for soft tissue approximation and/or ligation. This makes it apt for a variety of surgical procedures, including those related to dental and general surgeries.
PTFE sutures are not suitable for ophthalmic surgery, microsurgery, or surgeries involving peripheral neural tissue.
While PTFE sutures offer several advantages, surgeons should be fully aware of their properties, potential complications, and the best practices for their use to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
